The government is proud of the fact that youths are taking active part in the prevention of climate change
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksono closed the International Youth Forum on Climate Change (IYCC) here on Monday.

"This is a form government support for young generation in the field of climate change," the coordinating minister said here on Monday evening.

Agung stressed that the government would support the activities carried out by the youths, particularly in the climate change.

"The government is proud of the fact that youths are taking active part in the prevention of climate change," the coordinating minister said.

In the meantime, chairman of the Indonesian National Youth Committee (KNPI) Doli Kurnia said his side appreciated the government`s attention to the International Youth Forum on Climate Change.

"This event is vitally important because it discusses global issues, namely climate change," he said.

He said that through the event, KNPI and youths from other parts of the world were committed to taking active parts in the climate change issues.(*)
