The 201 were PT Wijaya Karya`s workers who worked in Libya.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A total of 201 Indonesian nationals working in Libya who were evacuated through Tunisia arrived in Indonesia in three flight batches Tuesday and Wednesday, a manpower official said.

Head of National Manpower Protection and Placement (BNP2TKI) Moh Jumhur Hidayat said here on Wednesday that 10 of the 201 workers arrived Tuesday night.

He said that 141 others arrived at Soekarno-Hatta airport on Wednesday evening and 50 others on Wednesday night. He said that the 201 were PT Wijaya Karya`s workers who worked in Libya.

They are part of the 259 Indonesian workers who have been evacuated to Tunisia on Saturday, February 26 from Libya.

Jumhur said that not all of the Indonesian workers who were evacuated to Tunisia would be sent back to Indonesia because Indonesia was still waiting for the developments of political situation in Libya.

"If the condition has returned to normal, they can go back to work in Libya," Jumhur said.

He said that they would however be dispatched to Indonesia if conditions in Libya got worsening.

Of the 259 workers, 201 are construction workers placed by state-owned PT Wijaya Karya (Wika), 12 from state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina and Medco, 22 domestic helpers and the remaining ones are students.(*)
