"All programs which have become commitments with japan will go on," Minister Hatta said here Monday.
The minister said there would be no postponement and various infrastructure development projects using Japanese assistance would be implemented as schedule.
"So far, it will go on, no postponement, either they are related to geothermal, MRT, transportation projects, JBIC assistance, all will continue. So far, none will be postponed," he said.
A meeting with the deputy Japanese economic minister to discuss the kick-off of Metropolitan Priority Area (MPA) worth US$20 billion will be held on March 17, 2011, according to Hatta.
"I have communicated with the Japanese ambassador just now. The kick-off meeting on MPA program will still be held. However, the deputy minister will come, and we will hold on March 17," he said.
During its visit to Jakarta, last February 2011, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keidanren) agreed to focus on five main economic fields in its cooperation with Indonesia.
"They are committed to development fields while focusing on five main fields," Economic Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa said after a meeting with a delegation of the Japanese businessmen`s organization at his office in Jakarta, on February 14, 2011.
The five main fields were transportation infrastructure such as railroads, marine ports, airports, roads and economic corridors in Java.
Also electrical energy supply from renewable energy sources such as geothermal and low carbon emissions coal.
Besides, they would also cooperate in any necessary field that are related to industrial expansion, especially outside Java Island to be connected with ports.(*)
