The UN 834 of the UN mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO) crashed at 2 p.m. local time at the international airport of Ndjili, an immigration officer told Xinhua.
Earlier in the day, MONUSCO said at least 10 people were killed and 16 others injured in the accident.
The crash occurred when the plane was landing after a flight from the eastern town of Goma. It broke in two and caught fire, the UN sources said. (*)
