Jakarta (ANTARA News) - An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale hit northwest of Gunung Sitoli, North Sumatra, at 09:01:44 pm local time.

According to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 1.55 degrees Northern Latitude and 97.05 degrees Eastern Longitude 67 km northwest of Gunung Sitoli, North Sumatra, at a depth of 15 km.

There was no immediate report of casualties and material manage.(*)
