She said here on Saturday her husband had said to her he would go to make money to pay the cost of the delivery of their first child.
"At the time, my husband said he would find work but did not tell where he would go," Sri Malita said at her home in Senen hamlet, Panjalin Kidul, Sumber Waras, Majalengka.
Sri said her husband once worked in Cirebon as a designer at a screen printing company. She married MS in August 2010 and still lived with her parents.
Asked if her husband often returned home after working, she said he did. "Usually, after working, he returns home immediately. This time, he did not because he said he would go to another place to prepare the birth of our child," she said.
She said she had tried to contact him several times through his cellphone but without success. "I am confused, I don`t know where he is or how to contact him," she said.
She said her husband once studied at a university but she did not know where it was. "What I know is he did not finish his studies" she said.
Sri said she knew her husband as a humorous person and not as a queer character but he never told her about his problems.
The head of the Senen hamlet, Toto Sunarto, meanwhile said that Syarief had never socialized with his neighbors. Although he had been a resident for one year, his neighbours were never seen talking with him.
"Every day he wears a white muslim shirt (koko)," he said. He said he once saw MS in black koko but he never went to the mosque.
When shown a photo of the suicide bomber, Toto said it looked like MS but he did not believe Syarif would be so desperate.
Warini, Syarif`s mother-in-law, admitted he was a quiet person and never talked much. She said she did not know where her son-in- law had gone. "He did not tell us where he would go," she said.
