The trade ministry in its statement received here on Monday said it would facilitate 33 companies under the coordination of the ministries of trade and industry as well as cooperatives, small and medium businesses to participate in the 13th OIC Expo to be held in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates.
More than 650 companies from 32 OIC member countries would take part in the event.
Indonesia meanwhile would present its potential products such as wooden handcrafts, home-made textiles, home decorations, silver jewelry, ceramic products, floor and wall tiles, household utensils, paper and leather products, tea and coffee, gold and silver accessories, fashion products, fine art works, agricultural machines and tools.
The industry ministry would coordinate business forums on the sidelines of the even to meet the country`s businessmen with their partners from the OIC member countries.
The OIC member countries are potential trade partners for Indonesia.
In 2010 the total value of Indonesia`s non-oil/gas trade with OIC member countries reached US$23.26 billion.
According to the ministry of trade the country`s non-oil/gas exports to the OIC member countries were valued at US$16.16 billion while its imports at US$7.1 billion.
Indonesia`s main non-oil/gas exports to those countries are palmoil and its derivatives, paper products, copper, cocoa beans, copra and textile products.
