London (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian embassy in Tunis again evacuated two migrant workers and three MetroTV journalists from Libya as the armed conflicts there escalated.

The two migrant workers, Juwarni BT Makdori Samir (40) of Purworejo (Central Java Province) and Aryani BT Wiryo Semadi (27) of Indramayu (West Java), had left Libya by crossing Ras Jedir border point, the embassy in Tunis said in a press statement, Wednesday.

A day earlier, the embassy`s staff had picked up Andini Effendi, a journalist, and Edward A.R.also, a cameraman, both from MetroTV in the Ras Jedir border between Tunisia and Libya.

Andini and Edward had stayed in Tripoli for seven weeks to cover the ongoing bloody conflicts in Libya. Another MetroTV reporter, Mahendro Wisno, had left Libya on April 13 also though the Ras Jedir border.

The evacuees had fell relief that they could leave daily bombings and shootings in Libya.

Juwarni and Aryani had initially been refused from entering Tunisia by the Tunisian immigration authorities because they did not have Tunisian visas.

But after tough persuasion and assurance from the Indonesian embassy`s staff who greeted the two migrants in the Ras Jedir, the two migrant workers were finally allowed to enter Tunisia.

The Tunisian immigration authorities have strengthened regulations for evacuees to be able to cross the border.

The UN Security Council imposed a no-fly zone over Libya on March 17, and ordered "all necessary measures" to protect civilians from Muammar Gaddafi`s attacks on rebel-held towns.

NATO has taken over command of military operations in Libya from the Western Coalition forces particularly involving France, Britain and the US.

Estimates of the death toll in Libya have reached at least 2,000, and more than 100,000 people are believed to have fled the country into neighboring Egypt and Tunisia, according to foreign media reports.

Concerned about the escalating violence in Libya, the Indonesian government has repeatedly urged every party involved in the conflict, including the Coalition and NATO forces, to use peaceful means in solving the crisis.
