"I have been invited to attend the wedding ceremony at Westminster Abbey and a reception at Lanchester House by British Foreign Affairs Minister William Hague who will act as the host," Ambassador Yuri Thamrin said here Thursday.
The ambassador said he was asked to go to Chelsea Royal Hospital from where he and other invitees would be taken by buses to Westminster Abbey.
Arund 1,900 invitees including Mr Bean, Elton John and David as well as Victoria Beckham, have confirmed their presence at the wedding ceremony of Prince William and Kate Middleton, on Friday (April 29).
Staff of the Indonesian embassy in London and a number of Indonesian students will also watch the wedding ceremony at Westminster Abbey Church.
They have set up two tents on a sidewalk across the church since Thursday morning, hoping to get a glimpse of the royal couple during the wedding ceremony.
The palace has announced that William`s younger brother, Prince Harry, will be best man at the April 29 royal wedding. Kate`s younger sister, Pippa, will be her maid of honor.
Officials confirmed that 1,900 invitations to the April 29 ceremony at Westminster Abbey were mailed to a mix of Commonwealth politicians, foreign royals, family, friends and celebrities. Although most of the names were as expected, there were a few notable surprises.
Among the handful of celebrities who reportedly received the gilded cards were David Beckham, with whom William worked closely h on England`s failed bid for the 2018 World Cup, and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. Other rumored invitees include Elton John, a friend of William`s late mother, Diana, and Kanye West, whom William selected to perform at a 2007 tribute to Diana.(*)
