Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The body of Musrifah (50), an Indonesian migrant worker (TKI), who was returned from Jedda to Indonesia and died on Saturday aboard "Labobar", was taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital here Wednesday.

"Her body would be given formaldehyde before being flown (to her home town in Pontianak, West Kalimantan) at 2.30 pm," Khusnul, an official of the National Agency for Placement and Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers Overseas (BNP2TKI), said here on Wednesday.

Besides the body of Musrifah, 12 patients from Labobar, the ship which carried thousands of returned TKIs for overstaying their visas in Saudi Arabia, were also taken to other hospitals upon their arrival at Tanjung Priok port Wednesday morning.

Some of the 12 patients were taken to Persahabatan Hospital and Koja Hospital for further medical treatment. They suffered from stroke, heart disease, tuberculosis, tumors, hemorrhage and measles.

A total of 2,349 TKIs who had overstayed their visas were repatriated by the Indonesian government aboard the "Labobar" ship from Jedda port on Friday night (April 22) or Saturday April 23, Western Indonesia Time (WIB).

However, the number changed to 2,352 because during the voyage four expecting mothers gave birth to four babies and one female worker (Musrifah) died.

The ship arrived in Padang, West Sumatra on Monday, and continued their voyage to Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, the same day.

"After they arrive at Tanjung Priok port, they will be returned to their respective towns by the BNP2TKI," its head, Jumhur Hidayat, said here on Tuesday.

There were 2,353 TKIs who were handed over from the official responsible for their repatriation, Col. Nugroho Mujiyanto to Lisna Yoeliani Poeloengan, BNP2TKI deputy. The number included the body of Musrifah, two infants and their mothers who were still receiving medical treatment at M Djamil Hospital in Padang. (*)
