"We will bring a number of views from our colleagues to the leaders of ASEAN member states," Yusrika bin Bahar of the Malaysian youth delegation to the meeting said.
He said representatives of ASEAN youths would present their views on leadership, entrepreneurship and education during the opening of the 18th ASEAN Summit on Saturday.
According to him, the three aspects were able to strengthen relations among ASEAN youths, particularly in art and cultural fields.
"The three aspects become important now that youths have basic potential to act as agents of change for a nation. Besides they also serve as generation to continue development of the nation," he said.
The six-day meeting is part of a series of activities of the 18th ASEAN Summit. The meeting is intended to produce a joint action statement to support the attainment of ASEAN community by 2015.
ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) groups Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. (*)
