Boyolali, Central Java (ANTARA News) - Boyolali SAR team eventually found a victim in the Cengklik reservoir in Sobokerto village, Ngemplak sub-district on Sunday.

The drowned man was Sarmin (55), a local resident. He was found by the SAR team on the bottom of the reservoir at 2 pm, Ngemplak police chief Adjunct Commissioner Dwi Wahyuni said here Sunday.

She said Sarmin along with his neighbor was fishing in the reservoir on Saturday, but apart from his friend on a bamboo raft. His friend has ready returned home, but Sarmin was still out by 9 pm.

The local residents started looking for the man, but his raft was already at the edge of the reservoir.

The resident continued looking for the missing man until late at night, but still without result.

On Sunday morning the residents, the police and the SAR team began a thorough search reaching the bottom of the reservoir at 2 pm.

They found Sarmin`s dead body, brought it to the surface and evacuated it. An examination by a local doctor showed that the ill-fated man had a fatal accident.

"He was handed over to his relatives and buried at a local cemetery," the police chief said.
