Dublin (ANTARA News/Reuters) - Former Irish Prime Minister Garret Fitzgerald, who led two governments in the 1980s and took important steps towards achieving peace in Northern Ireland, has died, Ireland`s state broadcaster said on Thursday.
Fitzgerald, a former economics lecturer who wrote a weekly column for the Irish Times newspaper up until last month, was 85.
