The three-day discussion on sharia law and human rights curriculum at the master degree took place from June 13 through 15, 2011, Prof Dr Syamsul Arifin, coordinator of central religious studies and Masters Degree Multiculturalism said here on Wednesday.
The curriculum formulation on the sharia and the human rights affairs was held in the form of conference in cooperation with the Norway Aslo Coalition.
"Such cooperation will also give an opportunity to lecturers as well as students to join a short course at the master degree," Arifin said, adding that the instructors at the short course among others from Indonesia, Norway, Australia, Malaysia and the United States.
In the meantime, the Also Coalition director, Lena Larsen said that her institution wished to develop the human rights education in the world.
According to Lena Larsen, the cooperation with Malang Muhammadiyah University is a step to strengthen the enforcement of Sharia and the real human rights.
