The figure accounted for 8.16 percent of Bali`s overall exports in the four months through April reaching US$168.13 million, down 7.15 percent from the same period a year earlier, Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau at the Bali Provincial Administration I Ketut Teneng said here on Sunday.
He said Bali`s export of furniture and handicraft fluctuated over the period, depending on demand in the export market.
Looking ahead, he said the province`s foreign exchange earnings from furniture and handicraft exports were expected to increase as the global economy had begun to improve.
Furniture is one of the province`s 14 key commodities.
