Surabaya, East Java (ANTARA News) - Surabaya is hosting an International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA) World Congress, June 21-22, 2011.

The objective of organizing the world congress is to improve the relations between human being and computers (robot) though a series of computing technology, President of Indonesian Society for Soft-Computing/SC-INA" Son Kuswadi said here Tuesday in the opening of the IFSA World Congress 2011.

As a premier international congress in the areas of fuzzy sets and soft computing, this event brings together scientists, engineers and practitioners working in fuzzy logic and related areas to present their research.

The conference provides a platform for the exchange of ideas and technical interaction.

Topics of discussion include "Balancing Interpretability and Representativeness of Information Granules in Fuzzy Clustering"; and "Finding Minimal Neural Networks for Business Intelligence Applications."

The International Fuzzy Systems Association (IFSA) is a worldwide organization dedicated to the support, development and promotion of the fundamental issues of fuzzy theory related among other things to to sets, logics, relations, natural languages, concept formation, linguistic modeling, vagueness, information granularity.

Their applications include systems modeling, system analysis, diagnosis, prediction and control in decision support systems in management and administration of human organizations as well as electro-mechanical systems in manufacturing and process industries.

IFSA organizes and encourages participation in open discussion session on the future directions and restructuring of fuzzy theory in IFSA congresses.
