Bogor, West Java (ANTARA News) - An Islamic boarding school in Sukaharja village, Cijunjung sub-district, Bogor district, West Java, caught fire on Sunday, leaving two students burnt to death, police said.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Bogor Police Resort Adjunct Commissioner Imron Ernawan said here Monday the fire took place on Sunday evening at 6 pm.

"Police arrived at the scene at 1.00 am on Monday. Two students who were trapped in the room were already burnt to death," Imron said when he was contacted on Monday morning.

The ill-fated school is the "Ibnu Tarwiyah" Islamic Boarding School. The fire razed through the school`s grade 7 female boarding dormitory.

The dead victims are Norfahmiyah, 19 and Yulisiticariwyah, 18.

The two victims were found in the second floor.
