Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono held a limited cabinet meeting on economic issues prior to his flight to Bali for two-day working visit.

The meeting was conducted at Halim Pernadakusuma air force base, Monday at 9 am local time, according to information from the Palace`s Press and Media bureau.

The head of state and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono left for Bali, at 10 am local time, to kick off the 44th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) and the 18th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) which will run July 16-23, 2011.

The AMM and ARF will discuss a nuclear weapon free zone in ASEAN and preparations for the 19th ASEAN Summit and the 16th East Asia Summit on Bali Island next November.

Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa expressed hope the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) and the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) in Bali on July 16-23 will make a positive contribution to efforts to resolve South China Sea conflicts.

The minister expressed the hope here on Monday after attending a Joint Commission Meeting between Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam which was also participated in by his counterpart, Mohamed Bolkiah.

US State Secretary Hillary Clinton is scheduled to meet with her Indonesian counterpart Marty Natalegawa during the ASEAN Post Ministerial Conference (PMC) in Bali later this month, the US Embassy here said.

According to the embassy in its website, on July 24, Secretary Clinton will meet with Natalegawa to discuss key bilateral, regional, and global issues.

Following their bilateral meeting, Secretary Clinton and Foreign Minister Natalegawa will co-chair the Joint Commission of the US-Indonesia Comprehensive Partnership, representing President Obama and President Yudhoyono`s long-term commitment to broadening, deepening, and elevating bilateral relations between the two countries.

Clinton is expected to arrive in Bali, Indonesia, on July 21 after concluding a two-day visit in India.(*)
