"We have received the information that the government will add 60,000 more LPG packages for Lombok, of which 40,000 packages for Lombok Timor and 20,000 packages for Lombok Tengah," Economic Section chief of NTB`s Regional Government, Yoga Safari said here on Friday.
He said that the additional LPG packages were part of the government kerosene-to-gas conversion program. The conversion program in Lombok Island began in the middle of December 2010.
Based on verification, a total 365,422 packages have been distributed to the island in the first phase. The package included a 3kg gas cylinder.
