Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The contents of the bag belonging to graft suspect and former Democratic Party treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin was shown to the public at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK)`s building here on Saturday night.

Arif Adiyarsa, a KPK investigator, during a press conference, picked up one by one the items contained in the bag and showed it to journalists who came to the KPK to witness the official handing over of Nazaruddin from the repatriation team to the KPK.

The items as evidence contained in the bag included two BlackBerry and Nokia cellular phones type C5 and E7. It also contained a flashdisk with a Vaio trade mark, a wrist watch, a charger, an electronic ticket from Cartagena to Bogota, US dollars in cash amounting to US$20,000 and a purse with a trade mark LV.

Arif said that the bag was previously sealed off by the Colombian government in Bogota before it was brought to Indonesia.

"Nazaruddin entrusted the bag to the Indonesian ambassador to Colombia because he was handcuffed," Arif said on Sunday.

He said that the items were shown to the public to satisfy the people.(*)
