Abdel Hafiz Ghoga told AFP "some NTC members might make a symbolic appearance in Tripoli, maybe the president of the NTC himself (this week). But from this does not mean the (full) transfer of the council."
"That will only happen after the entire (Libyan) territory is liberated, (including) Sebha, Sirte and Bani Walid," he said, naming three of the last bastions still controlled by loyalist of strongman Moamer Kadhafi.
NTC chairman Mustafa Abdel Jalil had said on Friday that the interim council would move to Tripoli "next week."
"Tripoli is our capital," Abdel Jalil had told tribal and military leaders in the eastern city of Benghazi, cradle of the uprising against Kadhafi`s regime that broke out in mid-February.
Most of the members of the NTC`s executive committee have moved to Tripoli after the fall of Tripoli late in August but Abdel Jalil has yet to travel to the capital. (*)
