Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono at his office here on Friday chaired an internal meeting to discuss preparations for the visit of Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawarta on September 12, 2011.

At the meeting, several cabinet ministers made presentations on their preparations for the Thai leader`s visit.

It would be the first visit by Yingluck, a sister of former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, since she was elected at the 28th prime minister of Thailand, early August this year.

Yingluck Shinawatra, a Thai businesswoman and politician, member of the Pheu Thai Party, is Thailand`s first female prime minister.

Born on June 21, 1967 in Chiang Mai province, Yingluck Shinawatra earned a bachelor`s degree from Chiang Mai University and a master`s degree from Kentucky State University, both in public administration.

Among those attending Friday`s internal meeting were Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Minister/State Secretariat Sudi Silalahi, Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Fadel Muhammad, Energy and Mineral Resource Minister Darwin Saleh, Forestry Minister Zulkifli Hasan, Transportation Minister Freddy Numberi, Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, Culture and Tourism Minister Jero Wacik, and Chief of the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI) Admiral Agus Suhartono.

The meeting also discussed preparations for the visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung n September 14, 2011.

Nguyen Tan Dung who was born on November 17, 1949 in Ca Mau province, was confirmed by the National Assembly as the prime minister of Vietnam on June 27, 2006, having been nominated by his predecessor, Phan Van Khai, who retired from office.

Indonesia is currently the Chair of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) for 2011.

The ten-member ASEAN groups Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.
