Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Chief Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa said he was not having any health problem that was hindering him in performing his duties as a state official.

"I was attending the Asia Pacific Oil Gas (APOGCE) Company function but did not attend a function at the National Resilience Institute (Lemhanas) because it was impossible for me to attend two events at the same time," he said here on Tuesday.

Hatta delivered a speech at the APOGCE which was an exhibition for oil and gas contractors who had operation areas in Indonesia.

After opening the conference, the coordinating minister for economic affairs toured the exhibition together with the head of the Upstream Oil and Gas Regulating Board, R Priyono and Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo.

He said rumors saying that he failed to attend the function at the Lemhannas because he was ill were not true. "It is not true," he said.

Hatta was initially scheduled to attend a function at the Lemhanas but the event coincided with the APOGCE, the chief economic minister was represented by Deputy Chief Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Lucky Eko Wuryanto.(*)
