Mecca, Saudi Arabia (ANTARA News) - A total of 25,878 Indonesian hajj pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia until the fifth day since the first flight batch left Indonesia on Oct 2.

Data from the hajj computerized system at the religious affairs ministry show by 10.30 a.m. Saudi time or 02.30 p.m. western Indonesian time on Thursday 63 planes carrying Indonesian hajj pilgrims had landed at King Abdul Azis (KIA) Airport in Jeddah and Amir Muhammad Abdul Azis (AMAA) Airport in Madinah.

By Thursday 23,878 Indonesian hajj pilgrims from 59 flight batches entered Madinah, while 1,338 others from four flight batches were on their way from Jedda to Madinah.

More than 220,000 Indonesians are expected to perform hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land this year.

Muslims who can afford it are obliged to perform hajj pilgrimage once during their lifetime.(*)
