Montassar Chouiki, a hospital official in the nearby southern Tunisian town of Ben Guerdane, said a Libyan was checked in with a bullet wound to the scapula.
"According to the wounded, who is a supporter of the NTC (National Transitional Council), there was a dispute with another rebel," he said, referring to Libya`s new administration.
Chouiki added that another Libyan was hospitalised with a gunshot wound to the chest and was then transferred to the city of Sfax.
Road traffic on the Tunisian side of the border was disrupted all day by supporters of deposed Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi armed with clubs and waving portraits of the ousted strongman.
An AFP correspondent`s vehicle was stopped three times over 30 kilometres by groups of angry Kadhafi loyalists. The Tunisian security services were not visible in the area. (*)
