The three are Prof Widjajono Partowidagdo as deputy minister of energy and mineral resources, Prof Nazaruddin Umar as deputy minister of religious affairs and Prof Denny Indrayana as deputy minister of law and human rights.
Partowidagdo who is a member of the National Energy Council and lecturer of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) came to the State Palace at around noon time to meet the President`s invitation.
Nazaruddin who was previously director general of Islamic mass guidance at the Religious Affairs Ministry said he received a sudden invitation from the President to come to the State Palace.
"The President asked me to help the religious affairs minister resolve problems and create tranquility. Last but not least the President asked me to create a peaceful atmosphere so problems that frequently arise can, God willing, be eliminated," he said.
Indarayana was previously a member of the President`s special staff for legal affairs.
Earlier, the President at his Cikeas private residence in Bogor, West Java, also summoned a number of eminent persons who are expected to occupy the posts of deputy minister. (*)
