Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has replaced ministers representing two political parties with professionals in the lineup of his reshuffled cabinet unveiled on Tuesday night.

"I have reduced the number of cabinet posts held by political party people by two," Yudhoyono said when announcing the names and ministerial posts of a number of new appountees at the Presidential Palace here on Tuesday evening.

The president said the two ministerial posts were previously held by Democrat Party (PD) and Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) cadres.

Yudhoyono explained he had done the reduction to make room for more professionals in the cabinet.

The Head of State did not mention the names of ministers who were replaced by professionals in his address.
