Tifatul inspected the media center at 9.30 am local time in the company of his ministry`s public information and communication director general Freddy Tulung, and public relations chief Gatot Dewa Broto.
The media center, is equipped with the facilities such as computer sets, internet, conference room, medical room, and mini studios to broadcast news material in the form of photographs, audio, and video, is located at the third floor of Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center.
On the occasion Tifatul made sure that every computer and internet networks in the media center would function well.
"I think the preparation at the media center here is much better than that of previous summit in Jakarta," the communication and information minister said.
Tifatul expressed hope that the media center at BNDCC could facilitate more than 1,500 newsmen from 130 countries to do their journalistic work effectively and efficiently.
Earlier in the day, Vice President Budiono also inspected the same media center at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center.
There at the media center Tifatul explained to the vice president about the preparation of infrastructures and facilities for the media.
After inspecting the media center, the vice president said the preparation for the 19th ASEAN summit, ASEAN +3, and the 6th East Asia Summit had been enough.
"The preparation is more than enough and we hope Indonesia will be a good host of the event," the vice president said.
At 11 on Monday night, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa in the company of Foreign Ministry`s Director General for ASEAN cooperation Djauhari Oratmangun also inspected the media center. (*)
