Bona Septano/Mohammad Ahsan and Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan would meet in the final round after they respectively defeated Patiphat Chalardchalaem/Nipitphon Phuangphuaet from Thailand 21-12, 21-16 and Goh Wei Shem/Lim Khim Wah from Malaysia 21-13, 17-21, 21-19.
In the women`s doubles Indonesian pair Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Anneke Feinya Agustine would meet their seniors Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati.
Nitya/Anneke went to the final after beating Duanganong Aroonkesorn/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul from Thailand 21-13, 21-10 while Vita/Nadya defeated Yao Lei/Shinta Mulia Sari from Singapore 21-18, 21-17 in the semifinal round.
"We are happy because we are certain to win two gold medals. Who will win let us see later in the field. We will play maximally although we will meet our friends," Anneke said.
Hendra meanwhile said that he and Markis Kido still wished to contribute a gold medal to the country although they had won it three times before.
"If you ask if we still wish to contribute the fourth gold medal the answer is certainly. But whoever wins the gold it will be for Indonesia," he said.
Indonesia`s mixed doubles players also proceeded to the final round after beating Songphon Anugritayawon/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul from Thailand 21-19, 21-14.
But their fellows Muhammad Rijal/Debby Susanto failed, beaten by Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam 11-21, 14-21.
Indonesia`s men`s single player Taufik Hidayat failed to create an All Indonesian final against fellow countryman Simon Santoso after he was defeated by Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk 14-21, 19-21 on Friday.
Indonesian women`s singles player Adriyanto Firdasari meanwhile also has a chance to win a gold medal if she could win against fourth-seeded Fu Mintian from Singapore in the final round on Saturday.
