A total of 334 of the deceased were performing hajj under the regular hajj pilgrimage services while 16 others were under the first-class pilgrimage services (ONH-Plus).
"The biggest number of the deceased reaching 70 came from the SUB (Surabaya, East Java) embarkation point, followed by those from the Solo or SOC embarkation (60)," Evi Al Hudhori of the computerized data at the Integrated Hajj Services office of the Religious Affairs Ministry in Saudi Arabia, said here on Friday.
Some 43 of the dead pilgrims came from the Bekasi (JKs) embarkation point, 38 from Jakarta (JKG), 23 from Makassar (UPG) and 20 from Batam (BTH).
Most of them or 253 were aged 60 years old, 78 at 50-59, 17 at 40-49 and 2 at the age of less than 40 years.
Evi said that 277 died in Mecca, 34 in Madinah field, 25 in Minah, 6 in Arafah field, 4 in Jedda and 4 during their trip from Indonesia to Saudi Arabia.
