Nusa Dua, Bali, Nov 19 (ANTARA) - The leaders of the East Asia Forum at the 6th East Asia Summit (EAS) at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) are expected to adopt two declarations on Saturday afternoon.

A press release from Foreign Affairs Ministry`s Directorate General for ASEAN Cooperation said the two declarations are the principles of mutually beneficial cooperation, and ASEAN connectivity.

According to the press release, the firs declaration contains basic norms and joint principles, taken from a number of basic documents including UN Charter, Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC), and several other agreements among EAS member countries.

The first declaration will become a guideline of EAS member countries code of conduct in protecting and promoting regional peace, stability, and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the second declaration will place ASEAN connectivity as a key to EAS cooperation, in addition to five other existing priorities namely energy, education, monetary, disaster management, and bird flu prevention.

The second declaration will be the basis of further cooperation among ASEAN countries and EAS member countries in the field of connectivity initiative, regional private-government partnership development, inter-individual cooperation promotion effort.

The 6th East Asia Summit will be divided into two sessions namely plenary session and retreat session. ***2***
