Mataram (ANTARA News) - West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) will host an East Indonesia Export Forum organized by the Ministry of Trade in Mataram from Noveber 22-23, 2011, NTB provincial government spokesman Lalu Moh Faozal said here on Monday.

"NTB will host the forum in Mataram that will be attended by Deputy Trade Minister Bayu Krisnamurti," Lalu said, adding that the forum would be opened at 11 am local time on Tuesday at Lombok Raya Hotel in Mataram.

Lalu said the Eastern Indonesia Export Forum would be focused on the improvement of marine and fishery products export by involving related technical institutions.

"Consultation activity is also in the agenda of the forum to discuss market opportunity by involving trade attache from China, and South Korea," he said.

Lalu added that besides the discussion and consultation forum, the participants would also visit a number of locations such as PT Phoenix Mas Persada which has successfully developed processed seaweed products in Cakranegara, Mataram city; and Lipco Galery, pearl crafts trading center in the province; traditional art market which sells handicraft products of wood and wicker in Mataram; and

traditional craft of weaving center in Lombok Tengah which is managed by Denis Lombok Art.

In the East Indonesian Export Forum, the NTB provincial government would present the export potential of marine and fishery products that could be developed in the future.
