The delegation to the US is led by House Commission IV chairman Romahurmuziy, that to China by House Commission IV Deputy Chairman Firman Subagyo, that to Japan by House Commission IV Deputy Chairman Herman Khaeron, and that to India by House Commission IV member Anna Muawanah.
"The comparative studies are of great significance because they have to do with the tariff system, protection, farmer`s financial institutions, subsidy, promotion, agricultural insurance, food institute, as well as the role and involvement of the government, the private sector and the community. Of course, every country has its own system and we are looking for the ideal concept," Herman Khaeron told Antara by blackberry messenger from Tokyo on Monday.
Meanwhile, the House of Representatives` special committee for draft law on handling social conflicts is also on working visits in Sweden and India.
"The working visits are part of in-depth studies to enact a law on handling social conflicts. The visits take place from December 3-9," the deputy chief of the special committee, Eva Kusuma Sundari said in a press statement from Sweden.
The delegation to Sweden consisted of seven members of the special committee and two officials of the House of Representatives` secretariat.
Eva said the working visits in the two countries were designed to ensure that the draft law on handling social conflicts carry complete aspects so as to give maximum benefit.
While in Sweden, the delegation will meet with Jasenko Selimonic, adviser at the integration ministry, and Hans Dahlgren, Swedish ambassador for human rights.
At the Swedish parliament, the team will meet with Ulrika Karlson, member of the commission for law and human rights. (*)
