The soccer clubs here had expressed their determination through the letters supporting the extraordinary congress, a coordinator for the PSSI extraordinary congress supporters, Bujang Nasril said here on Friday.
"At least until Thursday afternoon (Dec.22) more than ten clubs have expressed their support for the PSSI extraordinary congress," Bujang Nasril said, adding that the clubs are namely PS Markuban, Persikasa, Persikoja, PS Muarojambi,PS Bungo, Persitaj Tanjabar, PS Mosas Tanjabtim, PS Kerinci, PS Tebo, Persisko, Persijam and Persibri.
Most of the clubs were ready to accept any possible sanction imposed by PSSI if such support was considered to have committed
insubordination or violation of the PSSI rules.
In addition, Bujang Nasril said, the current PSSI management had committed many violations among others the vagueness of the number of participating clubs in the official competition held by PSSI and the direct entry of new clubs into a certain level of competition without going through the basic level.
Apart from that, Faisal Imron, the PS Bungo chairman said "as long as it can make our football better, we also support the extraordinary congress."
The PSSI present chairman Djohar Arifin Hussein was elected through an extraordinary congress held in Solo, Central Java on Saturday (July 9), following a demand for a replacement of the management of PSSI led Nurdin Halid.(*)
