We hope that with the help of the Aceh SAR team the four missing victims would be found soon
Banda Aceh (ANTARA News) - Six members of the Aceh SAR team had been helping efforts of searching for four victims of a boat which capsized in Lake Lut Tawar, Takengon, Aceh Tengah regency, Aceh province on Sunday.

Aceh Tengah regency administration public relations chief Windi Darsa said from Takengon on Monday that the Aceh SAR team has joined the Aceh Tengah SAR team and other volunteers in the search of the victims who were still missing by 22.00 local time.

A boat with 25 people on board, mostly children, capsized in Lake Lut Tawar on Sunday at 1 pm.

On that fateful day, new year, the Lake Lut Tawar tourist object was packed with visitors and some of whom were having a boat ride in the lake.

Four passengers had been declared missing, they were Baun (45), Zailani (40), Fitri Ramadhani (9) and Sirli (4).

Information collected from the scene of the capsized boat, two had gone missing, namely Fitri Ramadhani and Sirli, the siblings of the boat`s helmsman.

Windi said the Ace SAR team who arrived at Takengon on Monday morning, not only also wanted to give a helping hand under the regulations, but the team`s condition is also facing a very difficult situation.

The boat capsized in waters with a depth of more than 40 meters, although they had the latest and most complete saving equipment.

Windi said the Aceh Tengah SAR team with the help of volunteers and divers had difficulties in finding the missing victims. "We hope that with the help of the Aceh SAR team the four missing victims would be found soon," he said.
