Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Former US Senator Kit Bond, who served four terms in the US Senate, traveled to Indonesian to promote business, academic, and cultural relations between Indonesia and St. Louis, Missouri.

During the visit, representatives from the American Chamber of Commerce, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce US Bilateral Committee, and the World Trade Center St. Louis signed a Memorandum of Understanding to help develop new trade and investment opportunities, focusing on mutually-identified priority areas, the US embassy in Jakarta, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Before the visiting delegation departed Jakarta for Surabaya, US Ambassador Scot Marciel held a reception in their honor.
