Pertamina`s director Edi Setianto said in Jakarta Tuesday the increased pertamax came from the existing and new plants.
"We planned to build two new plants each with a capacity of 300,000 barrels per day," he said.
The two plants will be built in Balongan, West Java and Tuban, East Java, and scheduled to start operating by 2018.
The increased pertamax from Balongan plant amounted to 74,000 barrels per day and in Tuban 73,000 barrels per day.
In the meantime, he said the increased pertamax output from the existing plants will come from Plaju 2.3 thousand barrels per day in 2013, Cilacap 104,000 thousand barrels per day in the 2014-2015 period, Dumai 5,000 barrels per day in 2016, and Balikpapan 24,000 barrels per day in 2017.
Under Pertamina`s plans, in 2012 pertamax output will reach 1 million kiloliters, 2013 1,85 million kiloliters, in 2014 2,12 million kiloliters, in 2015 7,66 million kiloliters, in 2016 8,45 million kiloliters, in 2017 12,27 million kiloliters, and in 2018 19,99 million kiloliters after two new plants have started operations.
Premium production will be increasingly reduced in 2012 11,96 million kiloliters, in 2013 10,79 million kiloliters, in 2014 5,51 million kiloliters, in 2015 4,19 million kiloliters, and in 2016 3,06 million kiloliters.
Eventually starting in 2017, Pertamina planned to stop producing premium.
The government will limit subsidized premium starting in Jakarta, Bogor, Depoik and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) on April 1, 2012.
Then the program will cover other cities in Indonesia up to 2014.
The limiting program has been issued in Law No 22 of 2011 on the 2012 State Budget. (*)
