Tehran (ANTARA News/IRNA-OANA) - Vice President for International Affairs, Ali Saeedlou, said that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will visit Pakistan soon.

Saeedlou made the remarks to reporters after a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Sunday.

"During President Ahmadinejad`s upcoming visit to Pakistan, several issues such as Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, providing Pakistan with electricity and expansion of bilateral ties in the field of railway and air transportation will be discussed," vice president added.

He pointed out that since Pakistan needs Iran`s electricity capacities and since Iran has good potential for exporting its electricity to Pakistan, the issue of export of Iran`s electrical energy to Pakistan will be discussed.

"During the upcoming visit, Iran`s economic assistance for reconstruction of flood-hit areas of Pakistan will also be discussed," Saeedlou noted.

He pointed out that border cooperation and expansion of border trade transaction between two countries will also be discussed during President Ahmadinejad`s upcoming visit to Pakistan.
