Sidoarjo, East Java (ANTARA News) - A total of 140 Mobile Brigade (Brimop) troopers arrived at Juanda airport of Surabaya after assisting West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) police in overcoming the riots in Bima.

Deputy East Java Police Brigadier General Eddy Sumantri said on Sunday the state security forces have performed their duties well.

He said that in line with the directives of the East Java Police Chief, the police personnel have carried out their tasks well, and security in Bima has been restored.

On the same occasion, Head of the East Java Police Public Relations Chief Senior Commissioner Hilman Thayib said that the Brimob members came from Madiun and Malang, both in East Java, will be given a furlough of four days after operating in Bima for about a month.

He said the 140 troopers were the second group who came after the security operations in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara.
