Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will detain former Bank Indonesia (BI) senior deputy governor Miranda S Goeltom after her dossier related to the travelers` check bribery case has been completed, the antigraft body`s chief said.

"We have not yet detained MSG (Miranda S Goeltom) because we have not yet completed her dossier. Any body who has been formally named a suspect will eventually be detained," KPK Chairman Abraham Samad said here Monday.

Abraham made the statement in reply to questions from House of Representatives (DPR) Commission III members at a hearing here Monday.

Some legislators at the hearing chided Abraham for being discriminatory in treating suspects in the traveler`s check bribery case because he had already detained Nunung Nurbaeti but allowed Miranda to remain free.

Abraham said the KPK had never discriminated against any suspect. It had not yet taken Miranda into custody because it was still working on her dossier.

"If we detain MSG before her dossier is completed, her detention period could expire before the dossier is ready," he said.

Abraham assured the legislators that "any one we have officially named a suspect, will eventually be detained without fail."

One of the Commission III members who questioned Abraham , Bambang Soesatyo, said he was wondering why Miranda who had already been named a suspect was still a free agent, appearing at socialite functions with wide smiles on her face while Nunun Nurbaeti was languishing in jail.

The Golkar politician wondered whether the KPK was hesitating to detain Miranda.
