The GMJ will start from Jordan on March 30, 2012, dr Joserizal Jurnalis, a MER-C Presidium member, said here, Monday.

A GMJ delegation recently held a meeting with Hajriyanto Y Thohari and Lukman Hakim Saifuddin, both deputy chairmen of the Indonesian People`s Consultative Assembly (MPR), in Jakarta, on March 1, 2012.
The ten-member delegation included Muhammad Ma`ruf of the Voice of Palestine concurrently the delegation`s leader, dr Taher Lulu of Palestine, dr Sami Haja, the chairman of the GAza Fatwa Council, and dr Amir Salah of Palestine.
Taher Lulu on behalf of the Palestinian people expressed gratitude to the Indonesian people and government for helping Palestine endlessly.
Hajriyanto told the Palestinian guests that Indonesia`s assistance to Palestine is normal and must be intensified because it is a mandate of Indonesia`s Constitution which is against colonialism on Earth.
Around one million people from the five continents and 66 countries are expected to take part in the GMJ.
The Global March to Jerusalem or Al-Quds is aimed at protesting the Judaization, apartheid and ethnic cleansing crimes committed by Israel against AlQuds and its people in particular and against Palestinians in the occupied territories in general.
While the international community has been concentrating on the Palestinian Authority`s bid for statehood at the United Nations, and solidarity activists have been engaged in the struggle to end the siege of Gaza, the situation for Palestinians living in the holy city of Jerusalem has been deteriorating at an incredible rate.
Over the last few years, Zionist efforts to "Judaize" the city have quickened pace, erasing Jerusalem`s physical, cultural and spiritual characteristics.(*)
