The bomb blast broke several glass windows of the Embassy building, and similar damage has also been reported from the surrounding areas.Jakarta, March 21 (ANTARA) - A bomb blast took place near the Indonesian Embassy in Paris on Wednesday at 5:15 am (11:15 am Western Indonesia time), but there were no fatalities, Foreign Ministry`s Spokesman Michael Tene said.
However, the bomb blast broke several glass windows of the Embassy building, and similar damage has also been reported from the surrounding areas, Michael said, adding that the police in Paris are investigating the incident.
So far, there have been no immediate reports about the target of the blast.
Meanwhile, Foreign Minister, Marty M. Natalegawa has contacted the Indonesian ambassador to France, Rezlan Ishar Jenie, and asked all Embassy staff members as well as other Indonesian citizens in Paris to be careful.
The Embassy has also been asked to continue monitoring Indonesian citizens in France. (*)
