Jakarta (ANTARA News) - No casualties or victims were reported after a bomb blast took place near the Indonesian Embassy in France at 5:15 am, said the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry`s spokesperson Michael Tene, in a press release received here on Wednesday.

The bomb is said to have damaged a number of glass windows at the Indonesian embassy in Paris, and similar damage has also been reported from the surrounding areas of the blast, Tene Said.

The incident is now under investigation by the local police, and the main target of the blast is still uncertain.

Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa is reported to have communicated with the Indonesian envoy in Paris and asked the embassy`s staff and Indonesian citizens to be more vigilant.

The Indonesian embassy in Paris has also been asked to monitor all the Indonesian citizens in France.
