Jakarta (ANTARA News) - A coordination meeting among the core implementers of the upcoming ASEAN Latin American Business Forum was organized at the ASEAN Foundation office on March 27, to scrutinize preparations for the forum.

Septania Kadir, the Program Coordinator of the ASEAN Foundation, welcomed the teams representing KADIN (Indonesian Chamber of Commerce), APINDO (Association of Indonesian Employers) and PA CSR, and updated them about the preparation activities and looked into the programs that still need updating.

The Forum, which is set to be held on July 9-10 this year in Jakarta, is part of the ASEAN Foundation - IDB partnership to enhance awareness of the inter-regional collaboration between ASEAN and Latin American Countries on trade and investment opportunities.

It specifically aims to develop business channels between LAC and ASEAN to create sustainable economic relations and find strategies to prepare the trade and investment liberalization between ASEAN and Latin American countries.

To organize this forum, the ASEAN Foundation partnered with various Indonesian agencies such as the Ministry of Trade, the Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board, the Indonesia Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SME, the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce (KADIN), the Employers` Association of Indonesia and the Group of Latin America and Caribbean Countries Ambassadors in Indonesia.
