The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Office (BMKG) through Kotabumi Geophysical station, Lampung noted that the aftershock happened at 7.18:28 pm local time at 639 km southwest of Simeulue district.
Head of Kotabumi Geophysical station, Chrismanto said, the quake
was at 2.55 degrees northern latitude and 90.34 eastern longitude, at a depth of 65 km.
Aftershocks continued to be felt in Aceh following an 8.5 magnitude earthquake on Wednesday. (*)
