"We must be careful in passing on this way."Manado (ANTARA News) - Manado people have urged the government to accelerate the development of Trans Sulawesi road which links North Sulawesi with Gorontalo provinces.
"Some roads in Minahasa Selatan, Bolaang North Bongondow and Nort Gorontalo are now under construction," a bus driver, Bima, said here on Sunday.
He said the construction works made the mileage of the Manado- Gorontalo section longer. Usually, the mileage only 8 hours, but because of the construction the section had to be covered in 10 hours.
"We must be careful in passing on this way, not only because of the construction but also of the steep condition of the road," he added.
Local resident Baco said the construction of the road was hampering the road users because they had to be careful with the mud on the road.
Every day, hundreds of people use the Trans Sulawesi road. They hoped the government would accelerate its construction.
