"No casualties have been reported so far."
Cianjur, West Java (ANTARA News) - The two villages of Galudra and Nyalindung located in Cugenang, Cianjur district, have been isolated after a 12-metre-long bridge that connected the two areas collapsed on May 6.

According to information received by ANTARA on Monday, the bridge collapsed due to an overflow from the Lebak Koneng River that runs below it. The foundations of the 20-year-old bridge collapsed because they could not withstand the water pressure.

"No casualties have been reported so far, but the collapse of the bridge has hampered the daily activities of people in the two villages," said the chief of Nyalindung village, Eman Suleman, here on Monday.

He expressed hope that the local government would soon rebuild the bridge.
