"Super Puma chopper could not get to the crash site due to bad weather."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Poor weather conditions on Wednesday morning in Mount Salak, Bogor, West Java, have hampered the evacuation of the victims of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 plane that crashed last week (May 9).
"Super Puma chopper could not get to the crash site due to bad weather," Sukabumi Military District chief Lieutenant Colonel Mukhlis said here on Wednesday.
According to ANTARA News sources, one more body bag containing the remains of crash victims was flown to Halim Perdanakusuma airport in Jakarta on Wednesday morning.
Chairman of the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) Vice Marshal Daryatmo has ordered rescuers to keep looking for more bodies and the flight data recorder (FDR).
The Army Special Force (Kopassus) found the black box, or the cockpit voice recorder (CVR), on Tuesday evening.
The CVR got burnt during the accident, so its previously orange colour had turned into black.
Five Kopassus members led by First Lieutenant Taufik Akbar retrieved the black box, which was found around 100 meters away from the plane`s tail that was destroyed in the accident, in a ravine of Mount Salak.
The Russian-made SSJ-100 with 45 people on board - eight Russians, 35 Indonesians, one Frenchman, and one American - was on a demonstration flight when it crashed into Mount Salak.
