Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Jakarta Police have deployed 2,534 staff to ensure security during the two friendly matches between the Indonesian national football squad, called Timnas Garuda, and Football Club Internazionale Milano, better known as Inter Milan.

"The security will be led by Central Jakarta Police chief," Jakarta Police spokesman Sr Comr Rikwanto told reporters on Thursday.

The police will provide complete security to the players, starting from the hotel where they will be staying, to the locker room at the stadium.

"They are an international team, so there is nothing the security will not have under control," Rikwanto said.

About 38 Inter Milan players and officials arrived in Indonesia on Wednesday.

Inter Milan is scheduled to face Liga Selection, comprising players from Indonesian Premier League clubs, on Thursday evening. Then the Italian club will take on Indonesia's Under-23 squad on Saturday evening.

The Inter players and officials will to fly back to Italy on Sunday.
