Deputy mayor Illiza Sa`aduddin Djamal said here on Saturday more than 30 preachers have been assigned to locations considered prone to violations of religious rules.
"I hope people support the activity," she said.
She said that the program facilitated by the shariah service and regional education council has been carried out in the past three years.
"This has been carried out in the past three years by the Banda Aceh city administration," she said.
She said tens of women preachers from various Islamic organizations would also visit villages to give additional knowledge on religion to especially girls and women.
She hoped girls and housewives would participate in the activity to promote the implementation of shariah in the region. (*)
